During Lucas' time with Canada's premier a cappella group, Cadence was featured in many international festivals and concerts including the Chinese International Chorus Festival, Polyfolia, and A CappellaStock and performances with Bobby McFerrin, David Clayton-Thomas, and Take 6.

During the pandemic, Lucas was the interim program manager for the Jane and Finch branch of the Regent Park School of Music where he oversaw equipment distribution and tech support for families in the Jane Finch neighbourhood. He also designed and implemented online programming and professional development across the RPSM organization.
Choir Director - RPSM
Sept 2011 - Present
Over his years with the Regent Park School of Music, Lucas directed choirs in priority Toronto neighbourhoods like Regent Park, Parkdale, and Jane Finch. He also produced the album Make Me a Song featuring the school's choirs along with guests artists like Jully Black and Royal Wood. During his time as director the choirs performed many high-profile events including performances at Massey Hall, Koerner Hall, The Air Canada Centre and Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre. The choir also appeared at Luminato and the Canadian Screen Awards.
